Bernadette McCormack
February 2013
I have recently been devoting my time to creating a body of work that is a complete departure from my regular paintings. I hope you can join me at my art show on March 2, 2013.

THE WISE AND THE KNOWING
-wildlife of a powerful nature-
at the DAFFODIL GALLERY
Edmonton, Alberta
"Bernadette McCormack became fascinated with painting wildlife early in 2012. The subject matter of Canadian Wildlife opened a door for Bernadette in exploring the world of animals. She has been enjoying the challenge of rendering wildlife in her distinct style, honoring the creatures that walk our earth with their unique wisdom and ever-lasting strength."
Show dates:
February 26 to March 17 2013.
Opening Reception Saturday March 2 - 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

ARTIST RANCH PROJECT
July 2013
Calgary, Alberta
"One With the Land" acrylic on canvas 2012
I was chosen to be one of five participating artists for the 2013
Artist Ranch Project
through the Calgary Stampede. I spent a weekend in Longview, Alberta in September and will show my paintings, that were inspired by this time and place, at the 2013 Calgary Stampede's WESTERN SHOWCASE.
Participating artists are Pascale Ouellet, Tharrie Zietsman, Karen Scarlett, and Jill Nuckles, each working in their different mediums and unique styles. It will be an honor to be showing my work alongside these beautifully gifted artists.

The Royal Canadian Mint opens a door...
February was exciting for me as I received a phone call from one of the product managers at the Royal Canadian Mint. He asked me if I would be interested in submitting designs of an arctic fox and a prong-horned antelope for their 2013 collectors coins. I was one of three artists chosen for this particular project. Although my designs were not chosen in the end, it was an honor to work temporarily for the Mint, and to broaden my painting abilities to include wildlife. I am not able to post pictures of the designs, because they are now the property of the mint. You will have to come and visit me and I will show you them in person!
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
